Timing is Everything
Nepal's geography ranges from tropical lowlands to the highest peaks on Earth. Consequently, the weather varies wildly depending on when and where you go.
Autumn (September – November)
The Peak Season.
- Weather: Clear skies, warm days, and cool nights.
- Best For: High-altitude trekking and photography. Dust and pollution are washed away by the monsoon, offering crystal-clear mountain views.
- Festivals: Dashain and Tihar, Nepal's biggest festivals, fall during this time.
Spring (March – May)
The Blooming Season.
- Weather: Gradually warming up. Haze can obscure distant views, but the temperatures are perfect for hiking.
- Best For: Everest summit expeditions and witnessing entire hillsides blanketed in red and pink Rhododendron blossoms.
Winter (December – February)
The Quiet Season.
